Increasing the international outreach of journals published at the University of Warsaw and thereby boosting the impact of the publications in these journals on the global science, is the planned outcome of the funding of applications in the call that will start on 1.10.2022.
One of the Action I.2.1 “Improvement of publishing capacities” objectives is to develop, adapt and internationalize the journals currently published by the University. The call also assumes supporting the journals with developmental potential (including the editorial office’s openness) seeking to establish cooperation with a leading foreign publisher in order to improve the editorial and substantive standards as well as mentoring, and ultimately to get indexed in the leading databases.
The call is intended to develop all University of Warsaw’s academic journals by aligning them to the international standards (COPE, ethics, publishing policy, internationalization, etc.) in order to increase their chances of getting into international indexing databases, and thus increase the publishing efficiency of University employees by providing high quality source for publication.
