A lecture by Prof. Michael Kennedy from Brown University in Providence, as part of a mentoring visit

The Faculty of Sociology and the Robert Zajonc Institute for Social Studies at the University of Warsaw are pleased to invite you to a lecture by Michael D. Kennedy, Professor of Sociology and International Relations at Brown University in Providence, a renowned researcher of the post-communist transition and subsequently of transformation of the global system of academic knowledge production.

His lecture, entitled “Globalizing Knowledge in Epoch End: Contrasting Conjunctures of Hope and of Catastrophe in the Making”, and the discussion afterwards, will be held in English on June 13 (Thursday) at 2:30 p.m. in the Sociology Department building at 18 Karowa Street in room 403 on the 4th floor.

The lecture has been prepared as part of a mentoring visit through Action I.1.1/IV.1.1 “Mentoring Programme”.
