The Neolithisation of the Middle East was one of the most significant and complex processes in human history, shaping the relationship between humans and their environment. The aspects most frequently examined in the academic literature are the shift to a sedentary lifestyle, the emergence of permanent settlements and changes in spatial organisation, the onset of hierarchy, the rapid growth in the size of human groups, and technological and symbolic development. With regard to changes in the economy of human communities, the most commonly studied aspects are the development of crop cultivation and animal husbandry.

And how and where did farmers in the past get their water? After all, water is life.
