Streszczenie:

Tigray is endowed with many ancient archaeological, historical and cultural sites that could provide vital evidence about the history and the people. Despite the presence of these and many other remains of cultural heritage, inquiries about such resources have been limited and mostly restricted to superficial descriptions. Besides, this cultural heritage have been subjest to deterioration and destruction as a result of anthropogenic and natural factors. This study will assess, describe and present the impacts of the recent damages, destructions and losses of cultural heritage that affected ancient site of Ketema Ra’esi, Northern Ethiopia, in the recent conflict. The local communities which preserve the rich history, narrations and traditions of the site and unfortunately who were victims of the armed conflict will also be identified, as well as the need for moral, financial and psychological support. Thus, a survey will be carried out on the site and the preliminary degree of damages and losses will be assessed.
