IDUB UW research centres and groups

To ensure the continuity of research activities carried out under the “Excellence Initiative – Research University” Programme, the Institute for Advanced Research (Instytut Badań Zaawansowanych Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego, IBZ) was established. Its mission is to increase the impact of the University of Warsaw’s scientific activity on the development of global science by supporting innovative research with high potential, initiating and coordinating interdisciplinary projects, and building lasting partnerships with renowned research centres around the world. The Institute develops scientific cooperation on a national and international scale, contributes to the creation of flexible and innovative research teams, and serves to attract outstanding scholars. This strengthens the interdisciplinary profile and position of the University of Warsaw as a leading scientific centre of international importance.
