Results of the second competition for joint projects from UW and WIM-PIB

On 15 December 2025, the Selection Committee held a meeting and selected projects for joint research teams from the University of Warsaw and the Military Institute of Medicine – National Research Institute for co-funding.
Applicants – at least one representative from UW and one from WIM-PIB) – fulfilling the requirements described in the Competition rules applied for an amount of up to 100 000 PLN (from the funds of IDUB UW and WIM-PIB) for:
- support for research teams from UW and WIM-PIB, whose work will strengthen the long-term cooperation of both institutions;
- support for teams implementing research projects with high potential for obtaining external grants for further research funding and/or joint publication, contributing, inter alia, to improve the evaluation indicators of WIM-PIB and UW;
- support for teams implementing research projects, the results of which will respond to significant social and economic challenges;
- supporting research teams with the potential to acquire and implement joint NATO projects that respond to contemporary security threats, the need to increase technological advantage, in particula in the areas of battlefield medicine, biological threats and crisis management, biotechnology and molecular medicine, telemedicine, AI, cybersecurity, or operational psychology, and ultimately enabling building a strategic network of partners – civil and military – around these joint projects.
Ten projects were awarded in this edition of the competition.
