The members of the committees coordinating the five Priority Research Areas (POB), a description of the objectives of the “Excellence Initiative” at the University of Warsaw, and the 70 planned activities – all of this information can be found in the information folder about the research university status which was granted to the University of Warsaw.
The University of Warsaw was awarded research university status in a competition by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education – “Excellence Initiative – Research University” (IDUB). The proposal by the University of Warsaw included a description of 5 priority research areas (POB) and 70 actions which UW will undertake in order to achieve the goals set in the programme.
