The aim of the event is to initiate a discussion on the function of urban undergrounds, above all the undergrounds of Warsaw, in the present-day world, as well as to examine the issue of structural diversity and social traces in the history of undergrounds and to discuss the challenges and solutions related to the protection, access and modernisation of these unique places. An important element of the debate will be the subject of the post-war reconstruction of Warsaw and the strategy of treating the then underground infrastructure of the city.
