Join the Web Archiving Laboratory

We are launching an open call for applications to the Web Archiving Laboratory – an initiative dedicated to research, education and activities aimed at protecting digital heritage in Poland.
We are looking for ten committed individuals who want to deepen their knowledge and develop their skills in the field of archiving Internet resources and researching the historical Web.
Participation in the Laboratory involves:
- the opportunity to acquire and develop skills in web archiving methods, joint reading, analysis and discussion of the latest publications in this field,
- participation in educational and advocacy activities promoting care for digital cultural heritage,
- co-creating a space for dialogue and cooperation between researchers, archivists and people involved in activities for digital culture,
- support for your own research, the opportunity for substantive and programming support in the preparation of final, master’s or doctoral theses.
Participation in the Laboratory is free of charge and covers the academic year. Upon completion, participants will receive appropriate certificates.
Participation in the Laboratory’s meetings and activities can be done entirely remotely – we do not require physical presence.

Web Archiving Laboratory (Pracownia Archiwistyki Webu, https://webarch.uw.edu.pl) operates under the supervision of Dr. Marcin Wilkowski from the Digital Competence Centre University of Warsaw. It was established and operates as part of the IDUB programme, POB IV, Action I.3.6 “Digital humanities”.
