Theatre improvisation course for University of Warsaw employees

Category: II.2.3, Trainings

The UW Welcome Point, the Polonicum Centre of Polish Language and Culture, and the Impro School invite all UW employees to free theatre improvisation workshops.

This year’s fourth edition, entitled “Open to Improv”, will take place from 18 November to 16 December. Its main goal is to develop free expression skills and stimulate creativity while working in a team, as well as to teach participants how to strengthen their active listening skills. Participants will also practise their English and have the opportunity to network with other employees of the University of Warsaw.

All meetings are scheduled for Tuesdays, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. You can participate in a single meeting or in all classes.

The event is organised by UW Welcome Point, the Polonicum Centre of Polish Language and Culture, and Szkoła Impro – an institution specialising in teaching theatrical improvisation. The classes are conducted by experienced performers from the Warsaw theatre scene, who have gained experience at iO Theatre Chicago, Second City Chicago and Upright Citizens Brigade in New York, among others.

Participation in the course is free of charge, but prior registration is required.
