In episodes 7 and 8 of the series of talks on academic life, “mUWi się. Podcasts of the University of Warsaw”, Prof. Zygmunt Lalak, Vice-Rector for Research at the University of Warsaw and IDUB Programme Manager, gave an interview.

The two-part talk covers topics such as the history and position of the Faculty of Physics at the University of Warsaw. It also covers the specifics of research in the exact sciences, and the development of the humanities and social sciences at the University of Warsaw. Professor Zygmunt Lalak emphasises the importance of grant successes, as well as the importance of international cooperation and the need for stable support for the research and higher education sector. He also points to the important role of the “Excellence Initiative – Research University” Programme in financing research conducted at the University of Warsaw.
