I.1.4/IV.2.1. Implementation of the financing programme for projects submitted to IF MSCA competitions within the EC initiative “Seal of Excellence” – call in 2021
The implementation of this activity ensures the implementation of research projects whose scientific excellence has been acknowledged by independent experts – and selected by the EC – in the competition for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships in the Horizon 2020 Program (MSCA-IF-2020), and in the future, in the Horizon Europe Program. Through this activity, the University of Warsaw will provide support for research projects which have received at least 85% of the maximum number of points according to competition regulations, and the so-called “Seal of Excellence” (SoE) but which have not obtained funding from the Horizon 2020 Program, due to financial constraints.
The current IDUB competition for research project funding is open to researchers from the University of Warsaw who received the Seal of Excellence from the European Commission as part of the MSCA-IF-2020 competition, which ended in September of 2020. Three such projects may be financed per year with IDUB funds.
If the planned limit of support for the outgoing mobility of UW researchers as part of Action I.1.4 is not used in a given year, funding may be granted for the implementation of a research project at the University of Warsaw by a researcher from abroad (inbound mobility), who received the SoE in the MSCA-IF-2020 competition, in the event the applicant has not already received such support from NAWA, as part of the Ulam Programme Seal of Excellence.
