Microgrants for PhD students – edition 2026
Call for applications
- Name of the call: Microgrants for PhD students
- Objective: co-financing of publishing activities and specific scientific activities of UW PhD students, which will improve the quality of research carried out by PhD students in connection with their doctoral dissertations and facilitate their defence
- Grant purpose:
- proofreading – covering the costs of proofreading by a native speaker of a scientific text to be published in a journal or a chapter in a monograph,
- purchasing the Open Access option for an article or chapter in a monograph,
- participation in a foreign or domestic query,
- participation in specialist training, including a summer school,
- active participation in a foreign scientific conference,
- a research trip to a foreign research centre lasting up to 60 days,
- conducting scientific research – new research tasks that improve the quality of research carried out in connection with the doctoral dissertation being prepared,
- conducting scientific research as part of a research trip – a new research task carried out as part of a trip to a foreign research centre or a place where research is carried out, justified by the specific nature of the discipline in which research related to the doctoral dissertation is conducted, trip lasting up to 60 days.

- Maximum amount of support: depends on the selected funding path
- Planned date of call for applications: early December 2025
- Planned start of the call for applications: early December 2025
- Project implementation period: until 30 September 2026.
