V.3.5. Program for the development and improvement of the researcher’ ‟soft skills”

The main objective of this activity is to create and implement a comprehensive program for improving the ‘soft skills’ of the researchers at the University of Warsaw (at all career stages), as well as those coming to the University from abroad to carry out research projects in various programmes. ‘Soft skills’ enhance cooperation in research groups, including international teams, and to promote scientific achievements, by encouraging the cooperation of researchers from prestigious scientific centres.

The planned package of training sessions, workshops, and seminars will allow for the improvement of competences in areas such as presenting results at international conferences, writing scientific articles in English according to the standards required by prestigious journals, the protection of intellectual property rights and the commercialisation of research results, project management, preparing for the role of research team leader, writing applications for research grants, data analysis (data literacy), taking language courses, developing social and personal competences, preparing bilingual websites and organising contact with the media, managing cultural differences, and equality issues.
