Meetings on activities under POB I, II, III and V

[update] Soon, further meetings will be held about the activities which are being implemented in the Priority Research Areas (POB). The meetings will include presentations on POB I, II, III and V. We invite all the members of the University community to attend.
During the meetings you will be able to learn how to join the activities implemented within the various areas:
- POB I “Science for the Planet”;
- POB II “Beyond Micro and Macro Worlds”;
- POB III “The Challenge of Petabytes”;
- POB V “Responding to Global Challenges”.
The meetings will be attended by the Pro-Rector for Research, Dr hab. Maciej Duszczyk, and other members of the Team who are working on the implementation of activities in the Priority Research Areas (POB).
A short registration form is required for organisational purposes:
The registration for the meeting on POB I is closed.
The live presentation of the meeting on POB I is finished.

- 1 July 2020, 10:00-14:00 – meeting on POB II “Beyond Micro and Macro Worlds”
- 2 July 2020, 14:30 – meeting on POB III “The Challenge of Petabytes”
- 10 July 2020, 10:00-13:00 – meeting on POB V “In search of regional solutions for global challenges”
Meeting agenda
- The aims and objectives of the ‘Excellence Initiative – Research University’ (IDUB) Programme – Dr hab. Maciej Duszczyk, Pro-Rector for Research at University of Warsaw.
- The characteristics of the Priority Research Area – presented by a representative from the POB.
- A presentation of the activities implemented under the POB – speeches by the managers of those activities.
- Question and answer session.
- Summary of the meeting.
Meeting location
- The meeting will be held remotely using Google Meet. The link to the meeting will be sent to registered participants on the day before the meeting, at the latest.
- Due to the limitations of the Google Meet platform (up to 250 participants), we will prepare a live broadcast for those who are unable to register. Details will be provided here before the meeting.
