The first call for a competition to organise international congresses, as part of the IDUB Programme

Category: Calls for proposals, II.4.1

Starting on 15 February 2021, applications may be submitted to the first call for co-financing to organise congresses, as part of Action II.4.1 – “Organizing world‐wide high‐level congresses”.

UW is part of a network of institutions organising cyclical congresses with an international reach.  They bring together top researchers and provide opportunities for exchanging findings, as well as building teams and undertaking new research questions.

In order to strengthen the image of UW and improve cooperation with institutions of high international renown, a congress will be organised in collaboration with leading networks or scientific organisations to address each of the POB (priority research areas) and attract the most distinguished scholars within particular areas. This will allow the University to raise its prestige  and reputation, thereby broadening existing cooperation and establishing new international partnerships.

As part of the competition, the organising committees of the congresses, represented by employees  of UW, may submit applications for co-financing within one of five financial tracks, according to the subject matter of particular POB (priority research) areas.

The resources allotted to the first edition of the competition amount to nearly 1 million PLN.  The minimum amount of co-financing for a project is 20,000 PLN.
