Programme for young female researchers and teachers

The first edition of the Programme for Young Female Researchers and Teachers was inaugurated on Tuesday, 18.04.2023. It will be attended by 15 female participants representing various UW organisational units.
During the ceremony, attended among others by Prof Zygmunt Lalak, UW Vice-Rector for Research, and Prof Ewa Bulska, Director of the Biological and Chemical Research Centre at the UW, Chairwoman of the Programme Council, which provides substantive support for the programme and is responsible for the competition to select the participants, details of the programme and the planned study led by Prof Julia Kubisa on the situation of female researchers at the University of Warsaw were presented.
The first edition of the Programme for Young Female Researchers and Teachers will run until February 2025 and aims to counteract the phenomenon of women losing involvement in the course of their scientific careers. Additionally, it will promote at the UW the idea of the need to support the development of young talent in the field of science. Female participants will be mentored by female mentors. They will also participate in individual counselling on the development of their scientific careers, training courses specially prepared for them and coaching.
