Invitation to participate in consultations on Action IV.5.2 “Programme for Young Female Researchers and Teachers”

We invite female employees of the University (up to 5 years from the date of defending their doctoral thesis, excluding the period of parental and child care leave) employed in the research or research and teaching group to participate in consultations concerning the final shape of the research and development programme provided for in Action IV.5.2 “Programme for young researchers and teachers”.
The consultations will take place online on:
- 25 May 2021 from 13:00 – 16:00 (in Polish) and
- 28 May 2021, from 10:00 to 13:00 (in Polish).
An invitation to the meeting, together with materials about the study and the development programme, will be sent to those who register their participation. Participation request including a specified date chosen from the above-mentioned dates, can be submitted to Joanna Wąsowska at joanna.wasowska@uw.edu.pl
English-speaking researchers are welcome to register their participation, depending on the number of applications we will organise group or individual consultations. The dates will be established later on.
During the consultations, the main points of the planned study on the situation of young women in science and the barriers they face and the development programme, for which recruitment is planned this autumn, will be presented and discussed.
The organisers, Julia Kubisa, Ph.D., Chief Equal Opportunities Officer at the University of Warsaw, responsible for the research part of the action, and Joanna Wąsowska, M.Sc., Human Resources Management Coordinator and manager of Action IV.5.2. assume the possibility of modifying the original assumptions on the basis of consultations with potential participants in the programme.
Action IV.5.2 aims at addressing the phenomenon of loss of women’s involvement in the course of scientific career development, including:
- closer examination of the needs of young female researchers for support in scientific career development (research part);
- supporting a group of young female researchers in developing their scientific careers (development part);
- testing tools, developing methodological and organisational solutions for future development programmes at the University (development part), and
- promoting the necessity to support the development of young talents in the field of science at the University of Warsaw.
