Category: Calls for proposals, New Ideas

In the coming weeks, the first calls will be announced as part of the third edition of New Ideas competitions.

The “Excellence Initiative – Research University” (IDUB) Programme gives the University of Warsaw opportunities to raise the level of quality in its research and teaching, which results in raising the international prestige and significance of the activities of the University.

“New Ideas” is organised by the Priority Research Areas (POB) and is intended for employees of the University of Warsaw who are among the N-number staff, and who are planning to carry out research undertakings which are thematically related to POB. Each project must lead to the achievement of IDUB Programme objectives and indicators.

In the upcoming edition, applications may be submitted to five calls, which represent the particular POB. Each of them will include two versions:

  • “A” – for employees who have obtained at least a doctoral degree, after which no more than seven years have elapsed by the call announcement date, and
  • “B” – for employees who have obtained at least a doctoral degree, after which at least seven years have elapsed by the call announcement date.

The anticipated minimum value of a single project is 30,000 PLN. The research project implementation period may last a maximum of 12 months. The projects will be subject to financial and substantive settlement.
