CESS workshop on discourse analysis with Prof. Dariusz Galasiński

Prof. Dariusz Galasiński from the University of Wrocław will hold a workshop on “Discourse analysis within the perspective of critical discourse studies and critical linguistics” on 20 October from 9.00-14.00.

The meeting will take place at the Centre for Excellence in Social Sciences at BUW ul.Dobra 56/66, Warsaw (Powiśle) (2nd floor, room 2.90, elevator available). The underground parking is paid, bike rack available in front of the building.

Dariusz Galasiński is a professor at University of Wrocław. He is a linguist interested in issues traditionally explored by psychology and psychiatry. He has written on boasting, deception, identities, and emotions. Over the past decade, he has been interested in experiences of mental illness. He has published books on men’s suicide notes (Discourses of Men’s Suicide Notes, Bloomsbury, 2017), men’s depression (Men’s Discourses of Depression, Palgrave, 2008) and fathers’ experiences of mental illness (Fathers, Fatherhood and Mental Illness, Palgrave, 2013).
