3rd edition of the visiting scientist programme “Tandems for Excellence”

From today until 31.05.2023, UW employees can apply for funds under the next call of the competition within Action II.2.1 stimulating the achievement of scientific excellence by increasing the level of internationalisation of the UW and the visibility of research carried out at the university.
Funds of up to PLN 250,000 are intended for projects by staff employed in the faculty or in another UW organisational unit, with at least a doctoral degree and counted as N, and staff employed at the UW representing a research team.
The idea behind the competition is to create “tandems”, i.e. small research teams consisting of an invited scientist with outstanding scientific achievements in a given discipline and researchers from the University of Warsaw. The expected results of the projects implemented under the Programme are:
- enabling direct collaboration between PhD students and researchers employed at the UW with the best researchers from other units,
- establishing relationships that will allow this cooperation to continue in the future (e.g. through joint grant applications),
- stimulating the creation of new or the improvement of existing research groups,
- transfer of know-how on research methods and organisation of research implementation, allowing to increase the international visibility of UW research.
