New podcast series as part of the “360-degree Digital Economy”

Category: III.3.2, Podcasts, Results

We are launching a new podcast series – as part of the “360-degree Digital Economy” – in which we will be looking at issues you already know from the “Digital Economy” through the lens of the latest technologies, particularly artificial intelligence. You will hear experts sharing their visions, experiences and conclusions.

For the first episode, Zuzanna Choińska invited Katarzyna Szymielewicz, president of the Panoptykon Foundation, and Dr Joanna Mazur, an analyst at DELab UW and assistant professor at the University of Warsaw’s Faculty of Management, to talk about the role of digital platforms, the process of filtering information and navigating the web, but also about change, particularly in the context of the development of artificial intelligence and new European Union regulations.

What algorithms are messing with the web? For what purpose do platforms expose the user to messages that are not supported by reality? Will the innovative penalty mechanisms brought by the Digital Services Act change the functioning of platforms?
