V.1.1. The development and implementation of knowledge (and research) management platform integrated with existing university IT systems

In 2026, activities are being carried out under this Action to ensure the sustainability of the results achieved so far under the IDUB Programme

This initiative focuses on developing a system for monitoring and managing scientific activity, providing access to data essential for monitoring and evaluating scientific activity, and for formulating policies and strategies for the development of science and research. This tool will collect information on research projects that have been carried out or are in progress, taking into account not only their financial value and “profile” (discipline, team profile and Principal Investigator, own contribution, employment status, etc.) but also the project’s contribution to science – including, amongst other things, publications and patents arising from it – enabling the ongoing evaluation of disciplines; and the project’s contribution to staff development and career paths.

It will also serve as a database of researchers, enabling the identification of potential collaboration partners at the University of Warsaw, and containing a “portfolio” of researchers at the University of Warsaw. The affiliation of researchers to academic disciplines will automatically enable the ongoing monitoring of the quality of a given discipline. Information on completed projects is also crucial for competitions (e.g. at the EIT) and tenders, where experience in conducting a particular type of research must be documented.
