A second source of funds for the promotion of scientific research

Category: Calls for proposals, III.3.2

From the 1st of February to the 1st of March, there will be an open call for proposals; the projects should bring increased visibility to employees of UW and the research activities they are carrying out.

The competition is intended for employees and doctoral candidates at UW, who have obtained research results in 2019-2021. They may apply for co-financing to promote their research findings to a broad audience — the general population who is interested in science, including young people, parents, teachers, non-governmental organisations, and others outside of the academic environment.

Co-financing for up to 15,000 PLN may be used for activities such as:

  • preparing and publishing an article in a non-specialised periodical or scientific internet site;
  • organising an open lecture to popularise one’s work;
  • covering the costs of dedicated advertising, to promote the research findings in the media;
  • covering the costs of consulting the results of the research with top researchers in a given field, and gaining the rights to their publication and distribution;
  • publishing the results of research in a scientific journal which is among the top 25% in a given field and announcing that fact in non-specialised periodicals or on scientific websites.

The results of the competition will be announced by 31.03.2021. Applicants will have 9 months to settle their projects.
