Category: III.2.3, Results

In the coming academic year, 2021/2022, several new fields of study will be launched at the University of Warsaw, including “Radiogenomics”, under Action III.2.3 – “Launching a new second-cycle program of studies – ‘Radiogenomics’ within education based on research in POB 1”.

This field of study will be implemented at the Faculty of Chemistry. It was created in response to the growing need for experts with interdisciplinary skills which border on exact sciences, medicine, and pharmacy. The study program will include issues in the field of nuclear chemistry, molecular imaging and modeling, and genomics, including genetic research, determination of the genetic basis of various diseases, and principles of research in the preclinical and clinical phase.

A key benefit of choosing this field of study will be the opportunity for students to gain professional experience during compulsory internships with cooperating economic partners from the sector of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and diagnostic companies.
